I am a -year-old male flame point himalayan cat.
I'm very vocal and friendly once I get to know you, and I'm also fully deaf due to my age.
I am not declawed and will scratch lightly and gently nibble when playing.
I don't have any sharp prey teeth anymore, they were all removed due to abscesses that developed at the root of each tooth that hurt me to the point I stopped eating.
I still eat hard food because the sharp teeth are only for catching and tearing prey, my chewing teeth are still in good condition!
I'm a very picky eater and will typically only eat my specific brand of dry food and wet food.
I have almost no interest in human foods, but sometimes I'll chew on the occasional house plant.
Feeding
I need to be fed at least twice a day. At each feeding, I need my kibbles topped up since I'll slowly graze on them. Most important is to give me a third to a half of a pack of wetfood. At my age, my diet should be mostly wet food so I may not end up eating much dry food.
My water cup should be emptied and refilled using the kitchen tap. Please make sure it's cold!
There is also a blue cup on the coffee table that I drink from which should be refilled all the way up when I am fed.
Please make sure the fridge closes all the way after putting Loki's wet food back. It sometimes stays slighty ajar and there is medication in the fridge which must stay refridgerated.
Cleaning
I need my litter box cleaned at each feeding. I use it several times a day since I drink a lot of water due to my kidneys.
After cleaning the litterbox bags can be tied and put in the garbage bin unthe counter between the fridge and oven.
Medication
I'm an older kitty and I have chronic kidney disease. My kidney's are only operating at 25% capacity. Because of this my diet should be primarily wet food to make it easier on my body to absorb fluid and I drink a lot of water. It also means that I take a daily blood pressure medication each morning, as well as an appetite stimulant every other day. Both medications are topical creams that go on my inner ear flap.
The medication only needs to be applied to one ear in the morning only, and the ear it is applied to should be alternated. See the whiteboard on the fridge for a schedule of which ear the medication should be applied to.
Take a paper towel, dampen it with water, and lightly rub the inside of my ear flap to clean it.
Remove the lid of the medication applicator, keep it veritical, and turn the base counterclockwise one "click" so some cream comes out (there's an arrow on the bottom showing the direction to turn it).
Gently rub the tip with the cream on my inner ear flap.
Use the same paper towel to wipe any excess cream off the tip of the applicator.
Put the lid back on the applicator and return it upright to where it was. Please make sure it is not in direct sunlight.
The medication is a small squeeze tube beside the blood pressure medication clicker.
It should be applied on the opposite ear as the blood pressure medication.
